Ken's Throwback Thursday
EachThursday Ken pulls a photo from his archive to share!
This week: our friend Maki who plays in a Skynyrd Tribute from Japan crossed the Pacific just to play a show with us. We had a major language barrier but we still played a full night of.Skynyrd . It went near flawlessly! And we forged a friendship that will last a lifetime.
We are thrilled to announce that Poison Whiskey will be opening once again for one of our all time favorites...Molly Hatchet. The band exploded onto the scene in the 70's and quickly became southern rock royalty with hits like "Bounty Hunter", "Whiskey Man" and "Flirtin' With Disaster". Ronnie Van Zant was a close friend and was slated to produce their debut album in 1977 at the end of the "Street Survivors" tour. However Ronnie would never return to fulfill that commitment due to the tragic plane crash in October of that year that took his life. Folks these guys are the real deal! So please join us on Wednesday July 13th at the Hilton Carnival with the legendary Molly Hatchet!!!
Poison Whiskey Enters Year 19
As Crazy as it seems the band turns 19 in 2016! What's more amazing is we have had the same exact lineup from our first gig. Not a single member change. How many bands can say that? We are very proud of our history and the friendships and bonds we all share. Come out and help us celebrate this year as we make our way towards the 20 year milestone!!
